Summary, etc.: American thriller based on the biographical novel by John Pearson titled 'Painfully Rich: The Outrageous Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Heirs of J. Paul Getty'. After his grandson John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) is kidnapped by an organised crime group whose aim is to extract a ransom of 17 million dollars, oil tycoon J. Paul Getty (Christopher Plummer) refuses to co-operate. John Paul's mother, Gail (Michelle Williams), frantically urges her father-in-law to pay the ransom, stressing the importance of the life of her son and, rushing to ensure his safe return, she seeks help from Getty's business manager Fletcher Chase (Mark Wahlberg). Now they must convince Getty to submit to the gang before tragic consequences arise.
